British fan introduced tofandom throughOUSFG in the late 80's. He describes himself as probably more a science fan than anSF one, with interests in Xenobiology, worldbuilding, spaceflight and the like as they appear in SF. Based in London, involved in programming for various cons, includingConine,Illumination,Mancunicon and the science programmes atIntersection, andLoncon 3 withDave Clements.
He went toRSFG meetings when in Wokingham, andDASFA when in Colorado, and still goes to theJomsborg in Exile book group and theFirst Thursday.
He was one of the editors ofFancyclopedia 3 for 3 years, and redesigned the site when porting it to mediawiki, but left the project in 2020 over disagreements over software, design, quality and communication. Much of his design has now been deleted or compromised.
He ranEarth Calling Biscuit Barrel, theUK's first electronicAPA.
He runs theSFnal website which collates SF resources across the Internet.
