




On 26th August FAM and FDH bank signed a five-year deal worth K450 million for a League Cup competition. This was after Carlsberg Malawi pulled out as sponsors of the League Cup back in July 2019. The FDH Cup is a league cup for will be Super League clubs and Regional Premier Division League teams only. It was due to kick off in April 2020 and Run up to September 202 but was called off due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.The Cup kicked off in 2021 and Silver Strikers were the inaugural winners after beating Ekwendeni United 2-0 in the final.In 2022 FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves defied all the odds to become the first non-Super League to reach a national cup final since 2001 when they faced their elder brother FCB Nyasa Big Bullets losing 3-1.Bullets defended the cup in 2023 when they beat MAFCO 3-0 at the Bingu National Stadium.
