This is an example of how to obtain aHashSetIterator, that is an iterator over the elements of the HashSet. Obtaining a HashSet Iterator implies that you should:

  • Create a newHashSet.
  • Populate the hashSet with elements, usingadd(E e) API method of HashSet.
  • Invokeiterator() API method of HashSet. The method returns theIterator over the elements in this hashSet.
  • Iterate over the elements of the HashSet, usinghasNext() andnext() API method of Iterator.

Let’s take a look at the code snippet that follows:

package com.javacodegeeks.snippets.core; import java.util.HashSet;import java.util.Iterator; public class HashSetIteratorExample {   public static void main(String[] args) {     // Create a HashSet and populate it with elements    HashSet hashSet = new HashSet();    hashSet.add("element_1");    hashSet.add("element_2");    hashSet.add("element_3");     // To get the Iterator use the iterator() operation    Iterator it = hashSet.iterator();     System.out.println("Elements in HashSet :");    while(it.hasNext())System.out.println(it.next());  }}

Output:

Elements in HashSet :element_1element_2element_3

This was an example of how to obtain a HashSet Iterator in Java.
