Anthony Daniels' C-3PO makes a surprise appearance inAhsokaepisode 7, popping up to help rescue General Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from some sticky diplomatic trouble. When the episode begins, Hera is facing disciplinary action from the leaders of the New Republic. Specifically, Senator Xiono (Nelson Lee) seeks to remove her from her post, after she directly disobeyed orders to go help Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) on the planet Seatos.

But everyone's favorite golden protocol droid appears at the last minute, bearing a message from an off-screen Senator Leia Organa. Leia's message claims that she "personally sanctioned" Hera's reconnaissance mission, clearing the general of any wrongdoing. Mon Mothma sees Leia's message for what it is — a clever ruse to defend her friend Hera — but it's enough to clear Hera's name and help her keep her job.

The 77-year-old Daniels is the only actor to appear in every singleStar Warsfilm, including all nine Skywalker movies and the spinoffsRogue OneandSolo. He's played C-3PO countless times over more than 45 years, lending his voice to animated shows, video games, and more.Ahsokais his first time appearing in any of the live-action Disney+ shows: The character C-3PO can be seen in the background of an earlyObi-Wan Kenobiepisode, butAhsokais the first time we've heard Daniels' distinctive voice.

Ahsoka airs Tuesdays on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
