Benito Skinner navigates college life as a closeted all-American in Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive first look at Overcompensating.

Created, written, and executive produced by Skinner, the college-set, semi-autobiographical comedy series follows Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen (Wally Baram), an outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. With guidance from his big sister (Black Mirror’s Mary Beth Barone) and her “campus-legend” boyfriend (The White LotusAdam DiMarco), Benny and Carmen juggle “horrible hookups, flavored vodka, and fake IDs” in a dramedy that “explores the lengths to which we all overcompensate" while on the path to self-discovery, per the synopsis.
