Four artists have qualified for the final of Destination Eurovision 2019.

Tonight the first semi-final of Destination Eurovision took place in France, with nine artists performing for the chance to represent their country at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. As seen last year, each of the participants performed a song cover, to showcase their vocal ability, as well as their song for the contest. Only four of the eight artists have qualified for the final, which will take place on 26th January.

Performing tonight was (qualifiers in bold):

• Naestro- Le Brasier
• Bilal Hassani – Roi
• Mazy – Oulala
• Lautner – J’ai pas le temps
• Florina – In the shadow
• Aysat – Comme une grande
• Chimène Badi – Là-haut
• Silvàn Areg – Le petit Nicolas
• Battista Acquaviva  – Passio

The results were decided by 50% public televote, and 50% international jury. On the jury was:

• David Tserunyan – Head of Delegation of Armenia and member of the Junior Eurovision Reference Group
• Tali Eshkoli – Organiser of Israel Calling and member of the production for Eurovision 2019
• Paul Jordan – Eurovision expert and former pundit for the BBC
• Sanja Vučić – Represented Serbia at the Eurovision 2016
• Carla Bugalho Trindade – Head of Delegation of Portugal and member of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group

The show also featured critiques from three panel members in the studio, who did not contribute towards the final decision, but gave their opinions on each of the performances. On this panel was André Manoukian, Vitaa, and Christophe Willem.
