The many contributions of athletic equipment managers and the vital role they play in ensuring the safety and performance of athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels are recognized annually nationwide during Athletic Equipment Managers Appreciation Week.

This week begins annually on the third Sunday in September and was initially launched back in 2018. This yearly tradition shines a spotlight on the dedicated professionals who work behind the scenes to maintain, fit, and manage athletic equipment — a cornerstone of athlete safety and team success.
