- How to edit a page is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or createhyperlinks. Feel free to practice in thesandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a shorttutorial.
- Entry layout explained (ELE) is a detailed policy documenting how Wiktionary pages should be formatted. All entries should conform to this standard, the easiest way to do this is to copy exactly an existing page for a similar word.
- OurCriteria for inclusion (CFI) define exactly which words Wiktionary is interested in including. There is also a list of things thatWiktionary is not for a higher level overview.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister projectWikipedia, then you may find ourguide to Wikipedia users useful.
- TheFAQ aims to answer most of your remaining questions, and there are severalhelp pages that you can browse for more information.

You wouldn't happen to be well versed in mathematics, would you? I've got a bunch of mathematical terms in English that I'm having trouble defining, and I was wondering if you're interested. - I have very limited mathematical experience, but I find that a lot of basic mathematical terms are lacking here. - Somewhat doubtful. First, the script is written in JavaScript — I do not know what KassadBot is written in, but I suspect something else entirely. Rewriting it in another language is nontrivial. Second, it's not really "bug-free enough" either — heuristics used by the script sometimes fail, resulting in template misapplication. Often it's enough to run the script and save the page, but just as often the script fails to parse a translation entry, or marks a qualifier as a transcription or vice versa, which is sometimes impossible to detect mechanically. So a human has to review the changes. But I encourage everyone totry it out (just click the install link and save the page).Keφr (talk)12:39, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

- Do you think you can make it so that it automatically tries to apply fixes whenever it can, and then presents the user with a 'save' (or 'diff') button in the top left corner, like the translation editor does? That way, you wouldn't have to click 'fix' in each entry, only to find out that there is nothing to fix. You'd just be notified whenever thereis something to fix. - It is doable. However, 1) The script currently restricts itself to a single section, and I am a bit afraid that running it on the whole page might mess things up; 2) I did not want it to put any unnecessary load on the servers — this kind of thing should be done once per page, if at all, so it's ridiculous to run it on every page load and 3) it is usually already relatively easy to spot where it needs to be run — just look for translation lists with entries without cross-edition links. Not perfect, but a good rule of thumb. By the way, my script tags generic "Chinese" entries as "zhx-zho" — is this acceptable?Keφr (talk)14:44, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

- Any changes would need to apply to
