This template is a "catch-all" that is used when neither{{inherited}} nor{{borrowed}} is applicable. This includes the following situations:
{{derived}} for the Proto-Indo-European term. This includes roots; roots are generally not inherited, but are used to form words and are hence not direct ancestors.
