Borrowed fromJavaneseꦗꦮ(jawa), possibly fromSanskritयव-द्वीप(yava-dvīpa,“island of barley”), used in reference to the coffee grown on Java and nearby islands since at least 1850. The programming language (initially calledOak) is a reference tojava, the blend of coffee from the island.

In the input tag I include the onBlur="myfunction()" which checks if the field is filled (displays an alert if necessary and resets the focus). If I leave the first field I get anjava alert which says that field two should have a value and then ajava alert which says that field one should have a value and then ajava... get the picture ?
