This category contains Dutch postpositional adverbs, which are adverbs that take on the role of apreposition but are placed after the word. Usually, they are identical to the corresponding preposition in form, and have a related meaning. Generally speaking, postpositional adverbs imply motion towards somewhere, and thus function similarly to the accusative case of many prepositions in German, Icelandic or the Slavic languages.
