  1. (frequentative suffix)Added to anonomatopoeic (sound-imitative) root to form averb to indicate repetitive action. No longer productive. It is used only in a few words.

    -kel is added to unrounded front-vowel words
    -köl is added to rounded front-vowel words
    -ákol is added to some other back-vowel words
