This is the only known citation. The type of cloth is unknown. The three other examples in the same text refer to cloth made from various plants, so this could be the original meaning. Otherwise it may be identified as機(hata,“woven”). The pronunciation may have even been /hada/ since voicing is not always explicitly marked.
