Borrowed fromClassical Persianخوشبو(xʷašbu). Bysurface analysis,خوش(xuš,pleasant; sweet) +‎بو(,smell, scent). First attested inc. 1564 asMiddle Hindiخوشبو(xvśbv).[1]
