Rendered inBook Pahlavi as the ideogram[script needed](MRA) (Aramaic𐡌𐡍𐡀(mnʾ/⁠mara⁠/), also meaning "lord"), ultimately fromProto-Iranian*hwatā́wā(lord, god).
