It has a number of sports and leisure activities as well as indoor and outdoor pools and has good children's facilities and entertainment. 

As of Nov 2022, Mablethorpe and its approach roads have 4G from EE and Three, but only a patchy signal from O2 and Vodafone. 5G has not reached town.
