Jorethang is a small town inSouth Sikkim.
The town has a population of around 10,000 and is located on the banks of the Rangeet River. While not a destination in itself, Jorethang is often used as a night halt by travellers heading to Pelling, Darjeeling and Siliguri.
Jeep-taxis ply the routes fromSiliguri (three hours),Namchi (one hour)Darjeeling (90 minutes),Pelling (2 and half hours) and Tashiding (two hours).
