Aflao is the coastal town inGhana borderingTogo. While east of the Togolese side of the border the city is the capital,Lome, the once-called "Pearl of West Africa", the Ghanaian town is a typical African border town built solely to service the movement of people and goods. Minivans and buses leave regularly for several Ghanaian towns, with trips along the coast toAccra leaving very frequently at cheap prices.
