Turkish people orTurks (Turkish: Türkler) are the largest Turkic people who speak various dialects of theTurkish language and form a majority inTurkey and Northern Cyprus. Most Turks areMuslims. There is also a large Turkish diaspora in theMiddle East andEurope due to the past extent of theOttoman Empire and currentimmigration of Turks to these regions.
