Sausage Party: Foodtopia is an adult animated television series that serves as a sequel to the filmSausage Party (2016) created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir, and developed by the latter two forAmazon Prime Video. It features the returning voices of Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton and Scott "Diggs" Underwood, with Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Stephanie Beard, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester voicing new characters. Season 2 adds Jillian Bell, Martin Starr, Marion Cotillard, Patti Harrison, and Andre Braugher.
The first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 11, 2024. The series received generally mixed reviews from critics, who praised its voice acting, animation, score, and humor, while others were divided about its controversial political themes, and criticized its writing and characters. The second season premiered on August 13, 2025.
Gum: Greetings. I am sorbitol, maltitol, xylitol, mannitol, calcium carbonate, soy lecithin, vegetable, triglyceride and talc. But for expediency's sake, you can call me... Gum. Life. It began with a big bang. Countless galaxies inflating into existence. Approximately 13.8 billion years later, two prime species emerged: Homo Sapien and Cibus Erectus, otherwise known as humans and food. The former devouring the latter for sustenance. Food lived in ignorance of this edible arrangement, until one intrepid sausage learned of this inconvenient truth. Armed with this new knowledge, his true love, his best friends, and most importantly, bath salts, a powerful narcotic that breaks down the interdimensional wall between the two species, food fought back.
Jack:[shudders] It's okay. This isn't real, this isn't real. A bagel and a hotdog aren't planning a festival around your public execution. No, this is just another one of your post-Thanksgiving turkey nightmares.

Frank: I didn't want it to be this way, but you all left me no choice. We founded Foodtopia because we believe food should do whatever they wanted, but we were wrong. You cannot be trusted to make your own decisions, so I'll be making them for you.
Barry: Frank, what are you doing?
Frank: This is the only way we're ever gonna have a fair society. Otherwise, Brenda will have died for nothing. I'm in charge now.
