Honey is a sweet, viscous food substance made byhoney bees and somerelated insects. Bees produce honey from thesugary secretions of plants (floralnectar) or from secretions of other insects (such ashoneydew), byregurgitation,enzymatic activity, and water evaporation. Bees store honey in wax structures calledhoneycombs.
