Guinea (French:République de Guinée), officially theRepublic of Guinea, is a country inWest Africa. Formerly known asFrench Guinea, it is today sometimes called Guinea-Conakry to distinguish it from its neighbour Guinea-Bissau and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
