Żurrieqi is one of the dialects of theMaltese language. It is spoken inŻurrieq, a town in theSouthern Region ofMalta.[2][3][4]
Żurrieqi differs fromStandard Maltese inlexicon,grammar andpronunciation. For example, inStandard Maltese "he is not working" is translated asmhux qed jaħdem, but in the Żurrieq dialect one saysma qedx jaħdem instead.[4]
