Zirconium(II) iodide is an inorganicchemical compound with the chemical formulaZrI2.[1][2]

Synthesis

Zirconium diiodide can be prepared from theZrI3 bydisproportionation at 360–390°. At higher temperatures, the diiodide disproportionates to the tetraiodide and metallic zirconium.[3]
