Zhonghe Zhou (Chinese:周忠和; born 19 January 1965 inJiangdu,Jiangsu province) is a Chinesepalaeontologist. He described the ancient birdConfuciusornis.[1]
Zhonghe graduated fromNanjing University and earned a Ph.D. in Biology in 1999 from theUniversity of Kansas. He is the director of theInstitute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of theChinese Academy of Sciences inBeijing, and in 2010 was elected to theU.S. National Academy of Sciences.[2]
