Zazai Maidan District[1][2] (Pashto:ځاځي ميدان ولسوالۍ), may also be spelled asJajai Maidan orDzadzai Maidan, is located in the northeastern part ofKhost Province,Afghanistan. The two "z" letters in Zazai are pronounced the same like in the first name of Hollywood star,Zsa Zsa Gabor.
It bordersBak District to the west,Paktia Province to the north, and theKurram Agency ofPakistan to the north and east. According to Afghanistan'sNational Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), the 2020 estimated population of the district was 26,236 people.[3] The district center is the village ofZazai Maidan, situated in the eastern part of the district.
