TheFestival of Tolerance – JFF Zagreb is an annualfilm festival held inZagreb,Croatia which is dedicated to the preservation of memories of theHolocaust and raising public awareness about the importance oftolerance.
The festival occurred for the first time in 2007[1][2] under license and in collaboration with theUK Jewish Film Festival.[1] It is organized by anon-profit,non-governmental organization, of which Academy-Award-winnerBranko Lustig has been an honorary president.[3] The festival takes place at the Zagreb Cinema Europa, one of the oldest art-cinemas in the area.[4] Its film program includesfeature films,documentaries andshort films. Since 2009, the festival has organized educational morning programs aboutThe Holocaust for students of different age groups.[5]
The Jewish Film Festival Zagreb is funded by theAustrian Cultural Forum and the city of Zagreb as the main sponsor. Among others, the sponsors of the festival in previous years were alsoJutarnji list,Školska knjiga,Sheraton Hotels and Resorts,Atlantic Grupa,Mirko Ilić,McCann Erickson,Austrian Cultural Forum,Diners Club International,Erste Group,UNHCR, andJadran Film.
