ZDCM-04, also known asDOC-fenethylline, is a recreationaldesigner drug withpsychedelic effects. It is aphenethylamine derivative which is thought to act as aprodrug forDOC andtheophylline in the same way in whichfenethylline acts as a prodrug foramphetamine and theophylline. ZDCM-04 was made illegal in Italy in March 2020.[1] and has reportedly been identified from seized drug samples in Thailand.[citation needed]
