Yvonne Jegede is aNigerian actress,[1] film producer, model, and television personality;[2] notable for producing3 is Company. She rose to prominence after she made a cameo appearance in the music video "African Queen" by2Face Idibia alongsideAnnie Macaulay.[3]

Early life and education

Yvonne Jegede was born inAgenebode,Edo State, south-southNigeria on the 25th of August 1983.[4] She had her primary education inLagos State,and secondary education in Langtang, Plateau State,Nigeria, before proceeding to theGirne American University, where she graduated with abachelor's degree in International Relations.[5]

Career

Yvonne Jegede started her movie career in 2004 when she featured in theNollywood movieMissing Angels.[6] Her first major camera debut came up in 2005 with her appearance in the now popular music video for "African Queen" by2Face Idibia. After her university education in 2012, she came back toNollywood and starred in movies includingOkafor's Law,Single and Married and10 Days in Sun City.

In 2015, she produced her first movie3 is Company where she starred as the lead character.[7]

In late 2016, she was the cover in the wedding edition ofGenevieve Magazine.[8]

Personal life

On 1 November 2021, Yvonne Jegede, who is a single mother, celebrated the third birthday of her son, and spoke of his importance in her life.[9]
