Yuuki Shin (Japanese:新 祐樹,Hepburn:Shin Yūki; born 6 March 1994) is a Japanese voice actor and singer from Yokohama, affiliated withKen Production.[1] He is known for starring as Takemichi Hanagaki inTokyo Revengers, Taka inHeavenly Delusion, Tatsuya inKamiErabi God.app, and Takuma Shinozaki inMy Tiny Senpai.
Yuuki Shin, a native of Yokohama, was born on 6 March 1994.[1][2] He became interested in voice acting after he started watching evening anime andlate-night anime during junior high school, and he was part of a drama club during high school (as well as a broadcasting club he founded), during which he discovered a love for acting and began to seriously consider such a career.[3] He was educated atESP Animation and Voice Actor College [ja].[4]
He made his voice acting debut in 2014,[5] and in April 2016, he became affiliated withKen Production.[6] During the early stage of his career, he voiced characters in anime and video games such asHaikyu!!,Attack on Titan,Cheating Craft,Grimms Notes,Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, andRin-ne.[1] He voiced Akiomi Inamasu as part of theDream Festival!, including in the video gameDream Festival! R,[1] and he was part of the tie-in singing trio Answer who sang the track "Chivalric Romance" in the anime's original soundtrack.[7]
In December 2020, it was announced that he would star in Takemichi Hanagaki inTokyo Revengers;[8] that was his first lead role in an anime television series.[3] Toriko Toma said of Shin's performance of Takemichi: "his voice, which sounds like a cross between a child and an adult, is perfect for Takemichi", and that "Shin has the expressiveness to adapt to any development, from serious to comical, which makes him convincing in playing Takemichi."[5] Around that time, he also voiced Jinn inEdens Zero.[5] In 2023, he starred as Taka inHeavenly Delusion, Tatsuya inKamiErabi God.app, and Takuma Shinozaki inMy Tiny Senpai.[9][10][11]
