Yuu (優宇,Yū; born July 19, 1991) is aJapaneseprofessional wrestler working as a freelancer and is best known for her tenure with theJapaneseprofessional wrestling promotionsSendai Girls' Pro Wrestling andDDT Pro Wrestling.[5]
In 2019 Yuu competed outside ofJapan for many promotions. AtwXw 16 Carat Gold 2019, an event promoted byWestside Xtreme Wrestling on March 9, Yuu teamed up withKiller Kelly to defeatToni Storm and Wesna.[6] Yuu competed in theUnited Kingdom forPro-Wrestling: EVE, and atEVE Dawn Of A New Era on July 13, 2019, she faced Kasey andMillie McKenzie in a tournament for a chance toPro-Wrestling: EVE Championship, falling short to the latter in the semi-finals.[7] She also worked forRevolution Pro Wrestling atRevPro New Year's Resolution on January 11, 2019, where she unsuccessfully challengedZoe Lucas for theRevPro British Women's Championship.[8]
Yuu is known for her time in variouspromotions in Japan. AtSeadlinnng Shin-Kiba 19th Night, an event which took place on November 7, 2019, she teamed up withAyame Sasamura in a losing effort to Max Voltage (Miyuki Takase andNanae Takahashi).[9] She made an appearance in theSendai Girls Royal Tag Tournament 2019 where she teamed up with to defeatMeiko Satomura andSyuri in thefirst-round,Alex Lee and Charli Evans in the semi-finals, but fell short toDash Chisako andHiroyo Matsumoto in the finals on December 11, 2019.[10] Yuu also works forOz Academy, being a part of theBeast Friend stable. AtOZ Academy Plum Hanasaku, an event from August 28, 2020, she teamed up with fellow stablematesAja Kong,Kaori Yoneyama andHiroyo Matsumoto who was theBlast Queen Champion, and helped her defend her title in asuper plasma death tag team match against Mission K4 (Akino,Kaho Kobayashi,Kakeru Sekiguchi andSonoko Kato).[11]

Yuu is known for her tenure withDDT Pro Wrestling and marked sporadic appearances in signature events of thepromotion. AtDDT Is Coming to America, the first-ever event ofDDT to take place into theUnited States, she participated in aDelayed battle royale for theIronman Heavymetalweight Championship for a Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere contract also involvingKazuki Hirata,Saki Akai,Kikutaro,Colt Cabana,Mizuki Watase andMakoto Oishi.[12]
She worked several times in theDDT Judgement events. AtJudgement 2016: DDT 19th Anniversary on March 21, she participated in a13-woman battle royal also involvingYuka Sakazaki,Ai Shimizu,Shoko Nakajima and others.[13] AtJudgement 2017: DDT 20th Anniversary on March 20, Yuu teamed up withMil Clown andMaki Itoh to defeatReika Saiki,Rika Tatsumi andAzusa Takigawa in asix-woman tag team match.[14]
She also competed in theDDT Peter Pan branch of events. AtRyōgoku Peter Pan 2016 on August 28, she teamed up withHyper Misao andShoko Nakajima in a losing effort to Akane Miura,Miyu Yamashita andYuka Sakazaki.[15] AtRyōgoku Peter Pan 2017 on August 20, she won aRumble rules match for theIronman Heavymetalweight Championship also involvingMizuki, her trainerCherry,Yuna Manase,Maho Kurone and others.[16]

Yuu worked her first marches inPro Wrestling Wave at the2019 edition of Catch the Wave, where she placed herself in the "Power Block" and scored a total of two points after competing againstYuki Miyazaki,Ryo Mizunami andMiyuki Takase.[17] She continued to make sporadic appearances for thepromotion, such as atWAVE Hakodate event from September 16, 2019, where she participated in a14-person battle royal also involvingHikaru Shida,Arisa Nakajima,Yumi Ohka and others.[18]
Yuu made herprofessional wrestling debut forTokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling atTJPW Tokyo Joshi Pro '16 on January 4, 2016, where she picked up a victory over Nodoka-Oneesan.[19] She won her first title atTJPW Shinjuku Love Rin on June 4, 2017, thePrincess of Princess Championship by defeatingMiyu Yamashita.[20] She won the 2018Tokyo Princess Cup by defeatingReika Saiki in afirst-round match,Hyper Misao in a second-round,Nodoka-Oneesan in the semi-finals andYuka Sakazaki in the finals on July 8, 2018.[21]
Yuu would have her firstWorld Wonder Ring Stardom sanctioned match in June 2019 as part of Stardom's UK tour with Pro Wrestling: EVE where she was defeated byUtami Hayashishita.[22] She would later make her official debut by frequently attacking Stardom's presidentRossy Ogawa and other superstars such asSaya Kamitani andStarlight Kid under a reaper mask costume for weeks between June and July, 2022. At theStardom in Showcase vol.1, she revealed herself as the mysterious competitor while fighting in aThree-way casket match against Kamitani and Kid which she won.[23] AtStardom in Showcase vol.2 on September 25, 2022, Yuu worked into a non-canon storyline where she,Nanae Takahashi andYuna Manase who teamed up as two masked reapers, defeatedSyuri, andQueen's Quest's Utami Hayashishita andLady C who were billed asRossy Ogawa's "Bodyguard Army". After thepay-per-view came to an end,Alpha Female reached out via taped video in which she teased the formation of theNeo Stardom Army unit alongside Takahashi, Yuu and Manase.[24] At the 2022 edition of theGoddesses of Stardom Tag League, Yuu teamed up with Nanae Takahashi as "7Upp" and won the whole tournament by winning the "Blue Goddess Block" with a total of eleven points scored after competing against the teams ofFWC (Hazuki andKoguma),MaiHime (Maika andHimeka),The New Eras (Mirai andAmi Sourei),BMI2000 (Natsuko Tora andRuaka),02 line (AZM andMiyu Amasaki),Kawild Venus (Mina Shirakawa/Waka Tsukiyama andSaki), andwing★gori (Hanan andSaya Iida). Yuu and Takahashi defeated Utami Hayashishita and Saya Kamitani in the finals.[25]
