Yuki Ueno (上野勇希,Ueno Yūki) is a Japaneseprofessional wrestler signed to the Japaneseprofessional wrestling promotionDDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), where he is the currentKO-D Openweight Champion in his third reign, and theDDT Universal Champion in his fourth reign.[3]
Ueno made hisprofessional wrestling debut at the 2016 edition of "Who's Gonna Top?" in atime-limit draw dark match againstAkito.[4] Throughout his career so far, he has worked mostly forDDT, but had several matches for other promotions such asDradition where he worked alongside famous wrestlers such asMasato Tanaka,Yukio Sakaguchi andSuper Tiger II.[5]
In May 2017, he was a participant inKaientai Dojo's K-Metal League Tournament of which he reached but ultimately lost the final against Go Asakawa.[6]
He won the first title of his career atDDT's 21st Anniversary show, theKO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship with Koju Takeda and Kota Umeda after defeating Shuten-Dōji (Kudo,Masahiro Takanashi andYukio Sakaguchi) in asix-man tag team match.[7] He also won theKO-D Tag Team Championship with his tag team partnerNaomi Yoshimura at DDT's 2020 New Year Special after defeatingDamnation (Daisuke Sasaki andSoma Takao).[8] Ueno defeatedChris Brookes atUltimate Party 2020 to win theDDT Universal Championship on November 11.[9] He is also a six-time holder of the comedicIronman Heavymetalweight Championship, winning it for the first time at DDT Beer Garden 2019 after drinking a beer can.[10] AtJudgement 2020: DDT 23rd Anniversary, on March 20, 2020, Ueno teamed up with fellow Disaster Box stablematesNaomichi Marufuji andHarashima to defeat All Out (Akito,Yuki Iino and Royce Chambers).[11]
