Youngest in Charge is the debut studio album byhip hop musicianSpecial Ed, fromBrooklyn.[2][3] It was released in 1989 throughProfile Records. The recording sessions took place at Howie's Crib and at Q's House inNew York. The album was produced byHowie Tee. It peaked at number 73 on theBillboard 200 albums chart in the United States. Ed was 16 when he recorded the album.[4]
In 1998, the album was selected as one ofThe Source's "100 Best Rap Albums".[5]
