Franco Alemán (born June 26, 2000) is a Cubanprofessional baseballpitcher for theCleveland Guardians ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Alemán was born in Cuba and defected to the United States with his family when he was 11.[1] He attendedBraulio Alonso High School inTampa, Florida. He was selected by theAtlanta Braves in the 38th round of the2018 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign. Alemán started hiscollege baseball career atFlorida International University (FIU) for a year before transferring toSt. Johns River State College and then theUniversity of Florida.[2] In 2019, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theFalmouth Commodores of theCape Cod Baseball League.[3]

After one year at Florida, Alemán was selected by theCleveland Indians in the 10th round of the2021 MLB draft, and signed.[4] He made his professional debut in 2022 with theLynchburg Hillcats. He pitched 2023 with theLake County Captains andAkron RubberDucks.

Alemán spent 2024 with the Triple–AColumbus Clippers, making 24 appearances and logging a 1.99 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 2 saves across22+23 innings pitched.[5] On November 19, 2024, the Guardians added Alemán to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[6] On February 27, 2025, Alemán was ruled out for 4–6 weeks after undergoingsurgery for a left hip inguinal hernia.[7]

Juan Manuel Brito (born September 24, 2001) is a Dominicanprofessional baseballinfielder for theCleveland Guardians ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Brito was signed by theColorado Rockies as an international free agent on July 7, 2018.

On November 15, 2022, the Rockies traded him to theCleveland Guardians in exchange forNolan Jones; the same day, the Guardians added Brito to their 40-man roster to protect him from selection by another club in the 2022Rule 5 draft.[8] Brito was optioned to the Triple-AColumbus Clippers to begin the 2023 season.[9] In 127 games split between Columbus, the Double–AAkron RubberDucks, and High–ALake County Captains, he batted a cumulative .271/.377/.434 with 14 home runs and 75 RBI.

Brito was again optioned to Triple–A Columbus to begin the 2024 season.[10] In 144 appearances for Columbus, he slashed .256/.365/.443 with 21 home runs, 84 RBI, and 13 stolen bases. Brito was once more optioned to Triple-A Columbus to begin the 2025 season.[11] On April 25, 2025, Brito was ruled out for 8-to-12 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a high-grade ligament sprain in his right thumb.[12]

Jaison Oneel Chourio (born May 19, 2005) is a Venezuelanprofessional baseballoutfielder in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Chourio signed with theCleveland Guardians as an international free agent in January 2022.[13] He made his professional debut that year with theDominican Summer League Guardians.[14]

Chourio spent 2023 with theArizona Complex League Guardians andLynchburg Hillcats.[15]

His brother,Jackson Chourio, plays for theMilwaukee Brewers.[16]

Jacob Hayes Cozart (born January 9, 2003) is an Americanprofessional baseballcatcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Cozart grew up inHigh Point, North Carolina and attendedWesleyan Christian Academy.[17]

Cozart became the starting catcher for theNC State Wolfpack baseball during his freshman season and batted .240.[18] He was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a sophomore after batting .301 with 10 home runs, 14 doubles, and 42 RBIs.[19] He was named first-team All-ACC after batting .305 with 19 home runs as a junior.[20] In 2022, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theFalmouth Commodores of theCape Cod Baseball League.[21]

Cozart was selected by theCleveland Guardians in the second round of2024 Major League Baseball draft.[22]

Cozart's father,Craig Cozart, is a college baseball coach and served as the head coach of the High Point Panthers from 2009 to 2021.[23] Cozart was assigned to theArizona Complex League Guardians roster on August 5, 2024, and subsequently promoted to theHigh-ALake County Captains on August 12, 2024.

Aaron Ross Davenport (born July 25, 2000) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Davenport attendedCedarcrest High School inDuvall, Washington, and playedcollege baseball at theUniversity of Hawaiʻi.[24] In 2019, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theWareham Gatemen of theCape Cod Baseball League, and in 2021 he returned to the league with theChatham Anglers.[25][26] He was selected by theCleveland Indians in the sixth round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft.[27] He signed for $450,000.[28]

Davenport split his first professional season between theArizona Complex League Indians andLynchburg Hillcats, posting a 3.24 ERA over16+23 innings. He was assigned to theLake County Captains for the 2022 season and started 23 games, going 7–6 with a 4.21 ERA and 118 strikeouts over 107 innings.[29][30] Davenport returned to Lake County for the 2023 season, pitching to a 6–10 record and 5.73 ERA across 24 games (19 starts).[31] He spent the 2024 season with theAkron RubberDucks, starting 26 games and going 7–4 with a 2.85 ERA over142+13 innings.[32] Davenport returned to Akron to open the 2025 season and was promoted to theColumbus Clippers in mid-May.[33]

William Chad Dion (born April 17, 2000) is an Americanprofessional baseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Dion attendedSulphur High School inSulphur, Louisiana, and playedcollege baseball atMcNeese State University.[34] As a junior at McNeese State in 2021, he started 16 games and went 9–4 with a 3.07 ERA and a school-record 121 strikeouts.[35] After his junior year, Dion was selected by theCleveland Indians in the ninth round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft.[36]

Dion signed with Cleveland and made his professional debut with theArizona League Indians and theLynchburg Hillcats, throwing 12 scoreless innings between both teams. Dion played the 2022 season with Lynchburg andLake County Captains.[37][38] Over 25 starts, he went 8–5 with a 2.11 ERA and 157 strikeouts over 128 innings.[39][40] He opened the 2023 season with Lake County and was promoted to theAkron RubberDucks in mid-July. Over 26 games (19 starts) between the two teams, Dion went 6–4 with a 2.39 ERA and 129 strikeouts over116+23 innings.[41] Dion was assigned to theColumbus Clippers for the 2024 season.[42] Over 27 starts, Dion went 4–4 with a 5.48 ERA and 116 strikeouts.[43] He returned to Columbus to open the 2025 season.[44]

Jacob Gage Fox (born February 12, 2003) is an Americanprofessional baseballsecond baseman andoutfielder in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Fox grew up inLakeland, Florida and attendedLakeland Christian School.[45] He hit .378, with three home runs, 22 RBIs, and 32 stolen bases in 28 games played as a senior.[46] Fox had committed to play college baseball at Florida prior to signing with Cleveland.[47]

Fox was selected in the third round of the2021 Major League Baseball draft by theCleveland Indians.[48] After signing with the team he was assigned to theRookie-levelArizona Complex League Indians, where he batted .405 in 13 games played.[49]

Welbyn Miguel Francisca (born May 17, 2006) is a Dominicanprofessional baseballinfielder in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Francisca signed with theCleveland Guardians as an international free agent on January 15, 2023.[50] He made his professional debut that year with theDominican Summer League Guardians.

Francisca was called up to theArizona Complex League Guardians on May 3, 2024. After a brief stint in Arizona, Francisca was called up to theLynchburg Hillcats on July 29, 2024.[51] With 117 at bats in Lynchburg, Francisca hit a .325/.402/.804 stat line.

Ángel Luis Genao (born May 19, 2004) is a Dominican professionalbaseballinfielder for theCleveland Guardians ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Genao signed with theCleveland Guardians as an international free agent on January 15, 2021.[53] He made his professional debut that year with theDominican Summer League Guardians.

Genao spent 2022 with theArizona Complex League Guardians andLynchburg Hillcats. In 2023, he remained with the Hillcats for the full season.[54]

On June 3, 2024, Genao was promoted to theHigh-ALake County Captains.[55] Genao was part of Lake County's firstMidwest League Champion team since 2010.[56]

Genao played primarily for the Double-AAkron RubberDucks, slashing .259/.323/.359 with two home runs, 37 RBI, and six stolen bases across 77 games. On November 18, 2025, the Guardians added Genao to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[57]

Yorman Jesus Gómez (born November 10, 2002) is a Venezuelan professionalbaseballpitcher for theCleveland Guardians ofMajor League Baseball (MLB).

Gómez signed with theCleveland Indians as an international free agent in July 2019. He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of theCOVID-19 pandemic.[58]

In 2025, Gómez made 27 appearances (15 starts) for the High-ALake County Captains and Double-AAkron RubberDucks, for whom he accumulated a 12-2 record and 2.96 ERA with 139 strikeouts and threesaves across121+23 innings pitched. On November 18, 2025, the Guardians added Gómez to their40-man roster to protect him from theRule 5 draft.[59]

Jack Harrison Leftwich (born September 26, 1998) is an Americanprofessional baseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Leftwich attended TNXL Academy inAltamonte Springs, Florida and was drafted by theDetroit Tigers in the 39th round of the2017 Major League Baseball draft. He did not sign with the Tigers and playedcollege baseball at theUniversity of Florida. In 2019, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theYarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of theCape Cod Baseball League.[69] After four years at Florida, Leftwich was drafted by theCleveland Guardians in the seventh round of the2021 MLB draft, and signed.[70]

Leftwich made his professional debut in 2022 with theLynchburg Hillcats and was promoted to theLake County Captains.[71] He started 2023 withAkron RubberDucks.

Alexander Joseph Mooney (born July 6, 2002) is an Americanprofessional baseballshortstop in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Mooney attendedSt. Mary's Preparatory inOrchard Lake Village, Michigan. As a senior in 2021, he batted .460 with nine home runs and 57 RBIs over 44 games.[72] He was named Mr. Baseball.[73] He enrolled atDuke University where he played two seasons ofcollege baseball. He played in theCape Cod Baseball League for theFalmouth Commodores in 2022 and was named a league all-star.[74][75] After his sophomore season at Duke in 2023, Mooney was selected by theCleveland Guardians in the seventh round of the2023 Major League Baseball draft.[76] He signed with the team for $1 million.[77]

Mooney made his professional debut with theLynchburg Hillcats, batting .152 over 17 games.[78] He was assigned to theLake County Captains for the 2024 season. Over 105 games, he hit .235 with 12 home runs, 55 RBIs, and 43 stolen bases.[79]

Alfonsin Rosario (born June 21, 2004) is a Dominican professionalbaseballoutfielder in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Rosario was born inSan Cristóbal, Dominican Republic and moved to theUnited States when he was 16.[84] He attended P27 Academy inLexington, South Carolina. He was selected by theChicago Cubs in the sixth round of the2023 Major League Baseball draft.[85]

Rosario made his professional debut with theArizona Complex League Cubs and played 2024 with theMyrtle Beach Pelicans. On November 20, 2024, the Cubs traded him to theCleveland Guardians forEli Morgan.[86] He opened the 2025 season with theLake County Captains andAkron RubberDucks.[87]

Michael Khalden Stephen (born December 21, 2002) is an American professionalbaseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization.

Stephen attendedSeeger Memorial Junior-Senior High School inWest Lebanon, Indiana and playedcollege baseball atPurdue University for two years before transferring toMississippi State University.[88][89] In 2023, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theYarmouth–Dennis Red Sox of theCape Cod Baseball League.[90] After one year at Mississippi State, he was selected by theToronto Blue Jays in the second round of the2024 Major League Baseball draft.[91][92]

Stephen made his professional debut in 2025 with theDunedin Blue Jays and was promoted to theVancouver Canadians andNew Hampshire Fisher Cats during the season.[93]

On July 31, 2025, the Blue Jays traded him to theCleveland Guardians in exchange forShane Bieber.[94]

Matthew James Wilkinson (born December 10, 2002) is a Canadian professionalbaseballpitcher in theCleveland Guardians organization. His nickname isTugboat.

Wilkinson attended Foothills Composite High School inOkotoks,Alberta, Canada and playedcollege baseball atCentral Arizona College. In 2023, he was named the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) D1 Pitcher of the Year after recording a 1.07earned run average (ERA) with 138strikeouts in 84 innings.[95] In 2023, he playedcollegiate summer baseball with theChatham Anglers of theCape Cod Baseball League.[96] Wilkinson was selected by theCleveland Guardians in the 10th round of the2023 Major League Baseball draft.[97] He signed with the Guardians instead of playingcollege baseball atArizona State University.[98]

Wilkinson made his professional debut with theArizona Complex League Guardians. He began the 2024 season with theSingle-ALynchburg Hillcats.[99][100] Wilkinson was promoted to theHigh-ALake County Captains on May 21, 2024.
