Yonah Lewis (born March 2, 1986) is aCanadian film director and screenwriter, who collaborates on most of his work withCalvin Thomas.[1] The duo are most noted for their 2019 filmWhite Lie, which was aCanadian Screen Award nominee forBest Motion Picture, and garnered the duo nominations forBest Director andBest Original Screenplay, at the8th Canadian Screen Awards.[2]
The duo, both alumni ofSheridan College, released their debut feature filmAmy George in 2011.[1] They followed up withThe Oxbow Cure in 2013,[3] andSpice It Up in 2018,[4] before releasingWhite Lie. In addition to their Canadian Screen Award nominations, the duo also won theVancouver Film Critics Circle award forBest Screenplay for a Canadian Film in 2019.[5]
