Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! is a Britishanimatedchildren's television series, produced byCollingwood O'Hare Productions Limited, originally distributed byHIT Entertainment and currently distributed by Foothill Entertainment, which aired from 2 June 2003 until 29 August 2005 onCITV, and then rebroadcast onCBeebies from 26 January 2009 to 2 June 2013.[1]

Plot

The television series is about abird-of-paradise named Yoko, anarmadillo named Jakamoko, and aspider monkey named Toto, who live and go on adventures in the wilderness where they all live and can only communicate by saying each other's names.

Development

While the series was in production, distribution was handled byGullane Entertainment (formerly known asThe Britt Allcroft Company, the company that madeThomas the Tank Engine and Friends) until July 2002, when the company was acquired byHIT Entertainment.

Awards

Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! has won numerous industryawards including Best Pilot at the Annecy International Festival of Animation, Best Writer at the British Animation Awards and twoBritish Academy Children's Awards, including Best Writer andBest Pre-School Animation.
