Yoanni Yera Montalvo (born October 18, 1989) is a Cubanprofessional baseballpitcher for theOlmecas de Tabasco of theMexican League,Cocodrilos de Matanzas in theCuban National Series, and theCharros de Jalisco in theMexican Pacific League.
On June 7, 2019, Yera signed with theKitchener Panthers of theIntercounty Baseball League (IBL).[1] He made 12 starts for the team, recording a 7–1 record and 3.88 ERA with 87 strikeouts in 72.0 innings pitched. For his performance, Yera was named an All-Star for the 2019 season.[2]
Yera signed with theOlmecas de Tabasco of theMexican League for the 2020 season. Yera did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the Mexican League season because of theCOVID-19 pandemic.[3]
On April 8, 2022, Yera re-signed with theOlmecas de Tabasco for the 2022 LMB season.[4] On July 6, he threw ano-hitter in a game against theGenerales de Durango.[5]
Yera played for theCuban national baseball team at2017 World Baseball Classic.[6]
He joined theAlgodoneros de Guasave for the 2020Mexican Pacific League season.
