Yeysky District (Russian:Е́йский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of thethirty-eight inKrasnodar Krai,Russia.[1] As amunicipal division, it is incorporated asYeysky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the northwest of thekrai. The area of the district is 2,120 square kilometers (820 sq mi).[2] Itsadministrative center is thetown ofYeysk (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population:44,067 (2010 census);[3]43,962 (2002 census);[6]40,165 (1989 Soviet census).[7]

Administrative and municipal status

Within theframework of administrative divisions, Yeysky District is one of thethirty-eight in the krai.[1] The town ofYeysk serves as itsadministrative center, despite being incorporated separately as anadministrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts (and which, in addition to Yeysk, also includes seven rural localities).[1]

As amunicipal division, the district is incorporated asYeysky Municipal District, with the Town of Yeysk being incorporated within it as Yeyskoye Urban Settlement.[4]
