Yeronga railway station is located on theBeenleigh line inQueensland, Australia. It serves theBrisbane suburb ofYeronga.
In September 1930, thestandard gaugeNew South Wales North Coast line opened to the west of the station.[1] In 1995, as part of the construction of theGold Coast line, the standard gauge line was converted todual gauge.[2]
Yeronga station is served by all stopsBeenleigh line services fromBeenleigh,Kuraby andCoopers Plains toBowen Hills andFerny Grove.[3]
Until June 2011, Yeronga was also served by services toCorinda via theYeerongpilly–Corinda line.[4][5]
As a part of Cross River Rail, Yeronga and 6 other stations were rebuilt. As a result, there was a bus service (Bus route 109) that operates fromBoggo Road toMoorooka railway station to supplement the closing of the stations and to alleviate congestion.
The new station reopened on 28 March 2022.[6] The station has new lifts and a new footbridge to go over Fairfield Road, connecting up to local stores, enhancing accessibility. Remaining construction activities will continue at the station until mid-2023, including the addition of a third platform.
