Ye Xiufeng (Chinese:葉秀峯;pinyin:Yè Xiùfēng; 1900 – 8 February 1990) was aKuomintang politician of theRepublic of China.[1]
Ye was born in 1900 inJiangdu, a district ofYangzhou, inJiangsuProvince under the lateQingdynasty. His father was Ye Weishan (zh: 葉惟善), a Yangzhou teacher.[2][3][4]
Ye Xiufeng was a member of theCC Clique of theKuomintang. He was acquainted withChiang Kai-shek andChen Lifu via his education at theWhampoa Military Academy. After graduating, he pursued a master's degree from theUniversity of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1925.[3]
Ye createdYe Forest as a private garden for his father in 1927. It now forms part ofXu Garden atYangzhou'sSlender West Lake.[5]
