Yahmul (Arabic:يحمول) is a village in northernAleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria. It is located halfway betweenAzaz andSawran on theQueiq Plain, 40 km (25 mi) north of the city ofAleppo, and 9 km (5.6 mi) south of theborder with the Turkish province ofKilis. TravelerMartin Hartmann noted the village as a Turkish village in late 19th century.[2]
The village administratively belongs toNahiya Azaz inAzaz District. Nearby localities includeNayarah 3.5 km (2.2 mi) to the northwest, andJarez 2 km (1.2 mi) to the southeast. In the 2004 census, Yahmul had a population of 612.[1]
