TheYaganon languages are a smallfamily of closely related languages in New Guinea. They were linked with theRai Coast languages in 1951 byArthur Capell in hisMadang family, but separated out again by Timothy Usher.[1] The family is named after theYaganon River.
Along withWasembo, the Yaganon languages form the East branch of theMadang language family.[1]
Dumun is apparently also Yaganon,[2] and the extinctBai-Maclay may have been related to Dumun.
