The city ofXinmin (Chinese:新民;pinyin:Xīnmín;Wade–Giles:Hsin-min) is acounty-level city ofLiaoning Province,NortheastChina, under the administration of theprefecture-level city ofShenyang. It contains the westernmost point of and is by far the most spacious of thecounty-level divisions of Shenyang City.[2] Xinmin bordersFaku County to the northeast,Shenbei New Area andYuhong District to the east,Tiexi District to the southeast, andLiaozhong County to the south; it also borders theprefecture-level cities ofJinzhou to the west andFuxin to the northwest.
The city administration of Xinmin covers fivesubdistricts, 11towns, and 13townships.[3]
