TheShadows of Tomorrow era was officially announced byMarvel Comics' Editor-in-ChiefC. B. Cebulski and VP, Executive EditorTom Brevoort at the "Marvel Comics: X-Men Panel" atNew York Comic Con on October 10, 2025.[3] The announcement confirmed thatJed MacKay,Gail Simone, andSaladin Ahmed would continue writingX-Men (vol. 7),Uncanny X-Men (vol. 6), andWolverine (vol. 8), respectively. It also revealed thatCyclops would be a five-issue limited series written byAlex Paknadel with art by Rogê Antônio, whileWade Wilson: Deadpool would launch as an ongoing series written byBenjamin Percy and illustrated by Geoff Shaw.[3] Other ongoing titles announced at the panel includedInglorious X-Force (written byTim Seeley and illustrated by Michael Sta. Maria),Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant (written byMurewa Ayodele and illustrated by Federica Mancin), andGeneration X-23 (written byJody Houser and illustrated by Jacopo Camagni).[3] Other limited series announced at the panel includedRogue (five issues; written byErica Schultz and illustrated by Luigi Zagaria) andMagik andColossus (five issues; written byAshley Allen and illustrated by Germán Peralta).[3]
