TheWysis Way is an 88 km (55 mi)walking route which forms a link between theOffa's Dyke Path andThames Path national trails in the United Kingdom. The Way runs betweenMonmouth in Wales andKemble, Gloucestershire in England.
Starting from theWye Bridge in Monmouth,[1] the Wysis Way heads eastwards upThe Kymin and into theForest of Dean. Heading primarily eastwards, the trail goes through Hillersland[2] before continuing through the forest, passing throughNailsbridge,Harrow Hill andMitcheldean on its way to the top ofMay Hill (296 m (971 ft)) and views of theRiver Severn. From May Hill, it continues eastward throughGlasshouse,Taynton,Tibberton and the edge ofHighnam before reachingGloucester. At Gloucester, the trail starts to head more southerly but still in an eastern direction up to thetrig point onRobinswood Hill (198 m (650 ft)) before continuing southeasterly throughPainswick,Bisley andOakridge Lynch where it turns east along theRiver Frome and theThames and Severn Canal to Daneway andSapperton, Gloucestershire before reaching its end in Kemble, where it meets the Thames Path.[3]
