Wuguishan Subdistrict (Chinese:五桂山;pinyin:Wǔguìshān;Jyutping:ng5gwai3saan1) is a subdistrict of theprefecture-level city ofZhongshan,Guangdong province, China.[2] At the 2020 census, it had a population of 46,049.[3]
It derives its name from "Wugui Mountain [zh]" (Chinese:五桂山; pinyin:Wǔguìshān) in the district, which literally means "fiveosmanthus mountain" inEnglish. The name ofXiangshan County, Zhongshan's old name, also derives from the mountain.[4]
Situated in the southern part of Zhongshan, it borders withEast District,South District,Sanxiang,Nanlang,Banfu of Zhongshan andXiangzhou District ofZhuhai. It covers an area of 113 square kilometres (44 sq mi).
