Wu'an is acounty-level city in the southwest ofHebei Province, China, borderingShanxi Province to the west. It is under the administration of theprefecture-level city ofHandan.
In August 1949, Wu'an was one of threecounties to be detached from Handan and attached toPingyuan Province. In 1952, as Pingyuan dissolved, Wu'an returned to Handan.
As of 2020, Wu'an had a population of approximately 812,000.[1][2]
