Wong Kwok-hingBBSMH (Chinese:王國興,Vietnamese:Vương Quốc Hưng; born 29 March 1949,Haiphong,North Vietnam) is aHong Kongtrade unionist and a former member of theLegislative Council of Hong Kong, representing theNew Territories West constituency from 2008 to 2012, and representing theHong Kong Island from 2012 to 2016.
Wong is a member ofHong Kong Federation of Trade Unions[1] and was one of the 52 founding members of theDemocratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, which is the largest party and trade unions of thePro-Beijing camp. He was previously a member ofEastern District Council for theProvident constituency.
Wong strongly opposed thefilibuster, which was mostly led by four LegCo members ofPeople Power andLeague of Social Democrats then. He wrote big words on the paper in the chamber to protest against them.
