Wind of Change is an upcoming musical biographical film of the German rock bandScorpions. The cast includesLudwig Trepte,Ed Speleers,Alexander Dreymon andLuke Brandon Field as members of the band, withDominic West as the band’s managerDoc McGhee.
The film is produced byESX Entertainment withFox Entertainment Studios in association withWarner Bros. Home Entertainment. It is directed by Alex Ranarivelo from a script by Mark Andrews. Producers include Ali Afshar, Christina Moore and Daniel Aspromonte with the film announced as being in development in 2024.[1][2]
The cast is led byDominic West as the Scorpions' manager, with the band portrayed byEd Speleers,Luke Brandon Field,Alexander Dreymon andLudwig Trepte, withDavid Kross portraying a friend stuck on the other side of theBerlin Wall.[2][3]
Principal photography took place in the first half of 2025 in England with filming locations includingLiverpool andWarner Bros. Studios Leavesden.[2][4][5]
The film is being aimed for a late 2025 release to coincide with a 60th anniversary for the band.[1][2]
