Wilson da Silva Piazza (Brazilian Portuguese:[ˈwiwsõdɐˈsiwvɐpiˈazɐ]; born 25 February 1943 inRibeirão das Neves[1]), is a formerBrazilian footballer. He played asdefensive midfielder orcentre-back, in particular withCruzeiro E.C. and theBrazil national team. He was a member of the Brazilian team that won the1970 World Cup.[2] He was a member of the Cruzeiro team which won the1976 Copa Libertadores.[3]
Piazza made 51 appearances for theBrazil national team between 1967 and 1975.[1] He played for his nation in both the1970 and1974 World Cups, appearing in six games in 1970, including the 4–1final victory overItaly.[4]
